LASER THERAPY

We proudly offer cold laser therapy treatments in Oxford!

What is laser therapy?

Laser Therapy is the use of specific wavelengths of light to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation, and decreased swelling.

The treatments are painless, and the laser energy works to increase circulation, resulting in an increased flow of nutrients and oxygen to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain.

Laser therapy can be used on almost any injury or area of pain. It works great for arthritis, as well as soft tissue injuries, and even wounds and ear infections!

The laser that we use is K Laser. For more information, success stories, and research click here

What is treatment like?

Your pet is placed in a comfortable position, usually on a large, soft bed. Since the laser can be damaging to eyesight, your dog or cat will wear Doggles (goggles) during the session. There is absolutely nothing painful about the treatment, in fact, most animals find the subtle warmth of the laser to be relaxing. The areas of pain are treated by directing the laser to those areas for a specific amount of time determined by the location. The treatment only takes a few minutes total, so you can wait while your pet is getting their therapy.

Set Up a Session Today!

If your pet has been diagnosed with arthritis, or if you suspect your pet is suffering from arthritis or a soft tissue injury, call and schedule a consultation with a laser therapy session for your pet! Our veterinarians will prescribe a specific laser therapy schedule depending on the need for laser therapy.
